Miss Disco Queen is an original artwork influenced by street art style on walls and old billboards, given a ripped and torn look with a weathered patina. The paper collage finish has wrinkles and creases and stains to achieve a gritty street look of a wheat-pasted poster upon layers of other posters. The background collage is made from spray painted stencils.  The main image, which is composed separately as a digital art collage and printed out, is also spray-painted or coloured, then wheat-pasted on top . Three layers of high gloss acrylic varnish are then applied to give it a glassy look. This artwork has a rough textured finish created by built up layers, reflecting artwork or posters on street walls that have been built up and layered over time.
